New cases of COVID-19 were up last week among those who reside in Natomas zip codes, according to data released today by Sacramento County Public Health officials.
Between April 26 and May 3, new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Natomas numbered 90 — a 36% increase from 66 cases the previous reporting period, when weekly cases were at the lowest level since October 2020.
According to the data released on May 3, there were 46 new cases in zip code 95833, a 130% increase from 20 cases the previous week. The data also shows 21 new cases in zip code 95835, a 24% increase from 17 cases the week before.
Only zip code 95834 reported a decrease of 21% from the previous week, with 23 new cases reported.
According to Sacramento County Public Health officials, hundreds of appointments are available this week at two large drive-thru locations: McClellan and Cal Expo, both run by Curative. Both locations administer the Pfizer vaccine, which is for anyone 16 and over.
