The River City Red Raiders is an U16 girls team based in Natomas, with a few girls from the surrounding area. Their home field is Tanzanite Park.
The team has accomplished a lot on the soccer field in the past six years they have played together; most recently winning back-to-back championships in 2010 District VI Cup this past weekend and in 2009. There were 530 total teams entered in this tournament (all age groups/gender), making it one of the largest tournaments in the state. The district boundaries are South Lake Tahoe-Chico-Fairfield-Elk Grove.
As a Natomas-based team, their play on the field and great sportsmanship make the neighborhood proud. Way to go, ladies!
