From prom date proposals to birthdays and politics, the “Authors of Our Own Destiny” interactive sculpture has served as a community billboard of sorts over the years.
Earlier this week the Natomas community fixture was painted in memory of Tommy Lee Deorosan who died on Oct. 23, 1999 (pictured). The images was painted over a few short days later with a new message.
The sculpture, located off Del Paso Road and adjacent to the North Natomas Library, can be painted on by anyone at any time.
