SUTTER COUNTY – The long-awaited reopening of the northbound state Highway 99 off-ramp to Riego Road in Sutter County is scheduled for approximately 1 p.m. Tuesday, the state Department of Transportation announced Monday.
Caltrans also plans to open the new southbound Highway 99 entrance from Riego Road. The two ramp openings will end a 2 1/2-month detour for motorists who normally travel east on Riego to southern Sutter County and western Placer County.
The new interchange cost $31 million.
