The Sacramento Police Department today arrested 33-year-old Byron Wallace for sex acts with a minor.
In May 2015, the Sacramento Police Department received a report of an alleged sexual relationship between Wallace and a minor in her teens.
The now-adult victim indicated the intimate relationship began in 2014, according to a Sacramento Police press release.
The investigation revealed that Wallace met the victim, who was a student at the time, while working as a teacher at Inderkum High School in Natomas. Wallace has been on administrative leave since May 28, 2015. (see statement from the Natomas Unified School District below)
On Oct. 23 Sacramento Police detectives, in conjunction with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, obtained a warrant for Wallace’s arrest. Later that same day, Wallace was taken into custody at police headquarters. He was transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail and booked for multiple sex offenses with a person under the age of 18.
