Sac PD on Friday released preliminary crime statistics for the Natomas region showing that while the number of vehicle thefts have gone down on all three beats, the number of vehicle break ins continue to plague our neighborhoods.
Also noted: A decline in home burglaries in both North and South Natomas, but an increase in robberies for both areas. Home burglaries in the Gardenland/Northgate area rose for the third month in a row.

Police Beat 1A (North Natomas)
* Residential Burglaries went down 20% (20 to 16).
* Vehicle Burglaries went up 137% (24 to 57)
* Stolen Cars went down 56% (37 to 16)
* Robberies went up 200% (1 to 3). First time this went up all year.
Police Beat 1B (South Natomas)
* Residential Burglaries went down 15% (19 to 16)
* Vehicle Burglaries went up 85% (14 to 26)
* Stolen Cars went down 13% (15 to 13)
* Robberies went up 100% (2 to 4). First time since March.
Police Beat 1C (Gardenland/Northgate)
* Residential Burglaries went up 137% (8 to 19). This has gone up for 3 months in a row.
* Vehicle burglaries went down 22% (9 to 7)
* Stolen cars went up 10% (10 to 11)
