The new 10,000 square-foot teen center will have an indoor basketball court, large game room, rooms for studying, counseling, tutoring, and a kitchen. Area teens will be able to take advantage of job training, independent study and teen parenting classes and other programs.
Natomas young people currently gather in a 800 square-foot room at Stanford Settlement that is usually overcrowded with students doing arts and crafts, playing video games, and getting help with their homework.
