THE NATOMAS BUZZ | @natomasbuzz
The new Nation’s Giant Hamburgers location in Natomas will open today for take out and delivery only.
The restaurant opens at 8 a.m.
Nation’s is a family-owned and operated regional brand known for its cook-to-order breakfast, giant hamburgers and fresh pies.
Plans to open the new eater in late March were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Management decided to move forward with opening for take out and delivery service once it received the OK from county health inspectors.
Orders may be made online, by telephone phone or via delivery partners Doordash, Uber Eats and Postmates.
Takeout sales at Nation’s locations such as Vacaville and Citrus Heights have been strong during the statewide stay-at-home order.
“We’ve been lucky,” Nation’s vice president of business development Patrick Marasco said recently. “We’re still open and serving customers, but in a slightly different way.”
The site plan where Nation’s is located, on the corner of Truxel Road and Gateway Park Boulevard, is made up of four parcels.
To date, no deals have been inked for what will occupy the nearly finished building adjacent to Nation’s, or the parcel closest to the Gateway Park Boulevard entrance.
Based in El Cerrito, the fast-food chain has operated in the greater Bay Area since 1952 and has grown to 29 locations, including one restaurant in Citrus Heights.
Nation’s Giant Hamburgers is located at 3530 Truxel Road in Sacramento. (916) 575-7622
