Natomas-area students and their parents had a chance to talk to representatives from several colleges and universities including UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Merced, UC Irvine, University of Pacific, University of San Francisco, CSU East Bay, and others.
“We look for a well-rounded student,” a UC Berkeley representative said. “Our admissions looks at test scores, grades, personal statements, and things students do outside of class.”
Branches of the military were also on hand for the those students considering enlisting to serve their country after high school, including the U.S. Army branch for Sacramento State.
A meeting for Natomas High’s senior class was held on campus prior to the college fair. Parents and guardians asked questions about senior trip, prom, class ring, cap and gown and other fees.
Josten’s, the company that sells class rings as well as caps and gowns hold a meeting in the school theater Friday, Sept. 28 for those who would like to purchase these items early.
