Sacramento Vice Mayor Angelique Ashby is pregnant it was announced today.

The Natomas-area city council representative is about 5 months along in her pregnancy and is scheduled to deliver by Caesarean section in early May. She is expecting a girl.
Ashby said she plans to take time off after the delivery to recover and will limit her appointments, council meetings and public appearances in June. She expects to resume her regular schedule after the Sacramento City Council’s two-week recess in July.
The city councilwoman was recently tabbed to serve a second consecutive year as Vice Mayor.
Ashby lives in Natomas with her two sons Tyus, 8, and Nate, 17, and her husband, Zac.
