The Natomas Charter School will hold a free electronic waste collection and fund raiser 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1 at the school’s parking lot, located on the corner of Del Paso Road and Blackrock Drive.
Items that will be collected include monitors, televisions, desktop and notebook PCs, VCRs, stereo equipment, speakers, keyboards, mice, PDAs, digital cameras, zip drives, telephones, cell phones, printers, copiers, laser and multifunction scanners and fax machines.
Items that cannot be accepted: household appliances such as refrigerators or washers and dryers etc, furniture, hazardous household waste including paint, pesticides, used oil, cleaning supplies, tires etc.
Donations can be dropped off — you won’t even need to get out of your car, donations will be unloaded for you! California Electronic Asset Recovery Inc. will be collecting all donated items and for security reasons will shred all accepted computer hard drive.
Proceeds from this collection fund raiser will benefit the Natomas Charter School’s Environmentl Awareness Program.
