A veritable who’s who of Natomas movers and shakers were on hand for a live taping of News10 Good Morning early Friday at Bella Bru Cafe.
About 50 Natomas-area residents attended the “Breakfast In Your Neighborhood” segment with Good Morning anchor Keba Arnold.
Sacramento Vice Mayor Angelique Ashby gave News10 viewers an update on efforts to upgrade 42 miles of levees surrounding the Natomas Basin and the outlook for Natomas with a possible move by the Kings to Seattle (or the arena to downtown). Click here to watch Arnold’s interview with Ashby.
Natomas-based web series Dark Pool producers Rick Gott and Sierra Hersek shared information about Season 3, Sister Jeanne Felion spoke about Stanford Settlement, John Parrinello on the volunteer-operated Natomas Police & Community Resource Center while Pastor Glenn Sayers promoted the community fitness program Live Well Natomas.
Members of the Tri-County Conference champion basketball team, Coach Rodney Haymer and Principal George Tapanes from Inderkum High School got a shout out by Arnold. Others in attendance included Natomas Unified School District Superintendent Chris Evans, North Natomas Transportation Management Association executive director Becky Heieck, Los Rios Community College District trustee Dustin Johnson, Adventure Church pastor Scott Mathews, Natomas Community Association board members and more.
Bella Bru owner Liz Mishler hosted the breakfast which also showcased the cafe’s breakfast menu.
