Natomas Bank Robber’s Identity Sought

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community’s help identifying a man who is suspected of robbing a bank located inside a Natomas grocery store.

On April 5 at about 1 p.m., police and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Sacramento Field Office, responded to a robbery call at the Tri Counties Bank inside of Bel Air Market, on the 3200 block of Arena Boulevard.

Police said the suspect approached the teller and handed her a note demanding money. The suspect received the money and left the store.

Sacramento Police Neighborhood Crimes detectives, in conjunction with the FBI, are currently investigating the robbery.

The same suspect was captured on video surveillance in the area at the Golden One Credit Union, located in the same shopping center, just prior to the robbery. The suspect left the credit union after waiting in line for a short time.

The suspect is described as an adult black male in his 20s, standing about 6 feet 2 inches tall, with short black hair, a thin black moustache and beard.

Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
