Stanford Settlement’s annual Christmas sleigh project “Operation Cratchit” is officially under way.
The Gardenland Northgate Neighborhood Association sponsors the annual project which collects items used for holiday baskets given to north-area families who need extra help during the holiday season.
Baskets will be distributed to about 700 households located within the 95815, 95833, 95834, 95835, and 95838 zip codes in Natomas and North Sacramento.
Items needed for Operation Cratchit include new, unwrapped toys and gift items for children and teens, non-perishable canned food, Christmas wrapping paper and ribbons, and cash contributions for gift certificates.
Donations can be dropped off at sleighs located throughout the community:
