Space is available in an algebra boot camp for incoming 9th graders next week at Inderkum High School.
The camp starts July 8 and runs for four weeks, ending on August 2. It will be held 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the high school. Students who complete 56 of the 60 hours earn five elective credits.
Inderkum’s algebra boot camp is meant for incoming freshmen taking Algebra 1 at the high school in the fall who struggled with pre-algebra in middle school. Data shows that in 2012 75% of the students who completed Algebar Boot Camp went on to pass Algebra 1 with a C gradeor better.
To enroll in the algebra camp, students are asked to e-mail teacher Stephanie Kocher at [email protected] for more information, pick up an application at the school or call the Inderkum office at (916) 567-5640.
Inderkum is located at 2500 New Market Drive.
Is there anything like this for natomas high students?
Not that we have been made aware of, but we recommend contacting the school office to check.
