Natomas Charter High students recently took the Performing and Fine Arts Program’s annual trip to the Ashland Shakespeare Festival.
A group of 33 students and three teachers traveled to Ashland, Oregon on Oct. 4 for three days of culture, fun and kinship. Ashland is located 295 miles away from Sacramento.
While in Ashland students attended “My Fair Lady,” “The Unfortunates,” “A Streetcar Named Desire” and “The Tenth Muse.” After each performance, drama instructors Rick Gott and Karen Pollard as well as vocal instructor Kelly Cullity led group discussions and analyses of the shows.
In addition to watching live theater, Natomas Charter students said they shopped, enjoyed the changing fall colors in Lithia Park and explored the city of Ashland.
Great job Kayleigh!
