More than 1,000 people participated in the 11th Annual Healthy Kids Day on Saturday in Natomas.
Families started lining up two hours before the event started and nearly 600 students received free Tdap vaccinations. A new state law requires all students in 7th through 12th grades receive whooping cough shots.
Additional free services were provided during the event.
